All I want for Christmas is...You + 21st dec

Every christmas I share what i'd love to get if I could.. Well, the truth is that at the moment. there;s a lot of speculation towards if it could be our very last Christmas. For some, today 21st dec 2011 will start the count down for the so called End of the World, predicted by the calendar Maya, but dont be naive, I don't particularly like or feel the need to call it that way. The truth  is, that the date is approaching and something it's gonna happen for sure. When I say something, I mean something MAJOR. I don't wan't to create polemic about the whole, already talked, topic but has been on my head for such long time that reaching the day of today in our calendar, made me feel the needed to share for the first time with you guys (my mates are already bored of my talking about this), that we should all be AWARE.  Everyone should do what their guts, heart and head will tell them to do and respect the other's decisions to live this time and "the time" that is left as we please.. Enjoy and be thankful for probably the last 365 days on earth as we know it. Back to the present Christmas, as you know every year I create a wish list on my mind with the pieces of desire that I've been craving for the past six months and later on I pick my favourite item to share it here with my readers. Last year it was the Proenza Schouler bag but this time I've returned to opt for an emblematic Prada Saffiano Lux bag which seems so practical that I should start saving the pennies right now, cos I can see myself wearing this beauty for ages! What will you be asking Santa this year?? 

Look of the Day.143: Remain Nameless

Back in London after a glorious week in Spain. Payed a visit to my galician hometown, to end up the week dj-ing at the event of the year, the 212VIP Carolina Herrera party-casting that took place yesterday in Madrid. After some delicious argentinian food and the visit of a very special person, i'm glad to be back home. And cannot wait to celebrate Christmas Eve! Have you chosen your presents already? I'm a bit lost and finding it a bit difficult, nowadays seems everyone has it all and to pick new exciting presents has become to most difficult thing ever! The pictures were taken at home by the talented Noela Roibas, I got to wear my brand new pair of Pedro Garcia's glitter shoes, matching them with jumper and leather shorts by Goldie London, Womensecret's socks and a Zara hat.

Look of the Day.142: my xmas knitwear picks!

We all love online shopping, specially me. I´m really into finding out about new places where to find my "musts" and everytime i discover a new one i tend to call all my mates and share the secret info! So last week I found a spanish online store called Forumshop, that stocks clothes from some of my favourite brands such as Paul&Joe, vanessabruno, Manoush (I recently wore one of their dressed for a shooting), Twinset or Ash to name a few! The best bit is that it was extremelly easy for me to shop online and see all the product (I normally find this a bit confusing) because they create every season a LookBook to be able to see all the garments they sell featured in looks, and in two seconds i was going ga-ga for the Sonia by Sonia Rykiel boots, the fringy leather pants by Isabel Marant, a jumper from twenty8twelve or the new parfum from Comme des Garcons,  but finally made up my mind and went for the gorge tailerd baggie wool trousers from Paul&Joe, combined with a Zara top and my brand new pair of Supergas (LOOOVEEE)  and for the also Paul&Joe amazing big knitted jumper. A todos nos encanta eso de comprar por internet, y sobre todo porque recientemente y en estas fechas es lo mas comodo y fácil de hacer en vez de esperar imposibles colas y de nunca terminar de encontrar aquellos objetos que necesitas. Surfeando en internet, el otro dia encontré una de esas webs que son una joyita y que una vez la pruebas lo primero que quieres hacer es ir corriendo a contarselo a  todas tu amigas, y así hice despues de descubrir que Forumshop cuenta con muchas de mis marcas favoritas como Twinset, Manoush, Paul&Joe, vansessabruno o Ash entre otras! Lo mejor de todo es lo fácil que es de ver el producto gracias a su Lookbook donde cada temporada te muestran las piezas mas interesantes que tienen. Despues de unos minuto yo ya estaba decidiendo que pedir, la cosa estaba dificil, desde las botitas de Sonia by Sonia Rykiel, los pantalones de flecos de Isabel Marant un jersey de twenty8twelve o un nuevo perfume de Commes des Garcons... al final y despues de mucho pensarmelo, lo que más necesitaba ahora mismo era algo para combatir el frio y me decidí por dos piezas de lana, unos pantalones super comodos de pinzas de Paul&Joe que he combinado con un top de Zara y mis nuevas Superga(las aaaamooo!!) y un jersey de la misma firma con vestido de algodón blanco y el nuevo modelo de RayBan METEOR!! Look of the Day.141: @ TopShop Unique s/s12 show LFW

This first picture was taken by the lovely Nadia from FrouFrouu at the TopShop Unique show during London Fashion Week s/s 2012 . Later on a few weeks ago I was also featured on Grazia magazine too, with a picture that Phill Taylor took of me took at my arrival to the show that day..(he has shoot me several times for the magazine before, so is no surprise bump into him snapping pics of the coolest cats at fashion events). I was wearing Monica Vinader golden brazalet, a vintage hat with TopShop denim shirt, Reiss knitwear, Zara jeans and Oasis booties matched it all with my Mulberry "Tilly" bag.

Maktub... la pelicula de estas navidades!

Queria compartir este trailer con todos vosotros, porque me parece que algo maravilloso ha sucedido de la mano del cine. Tuve el placer de conocer el trabajo del director y productor Paco Arango, Maktub  gracias a mi amiga y bloguera Vega el pasado mes de Octubre, cuando nos invito a mi y a un par de amigas cercanas a ver el pre-view de su ultima pelicula (o peliculon ) y del ambicioso y precioso proyecto que esta ha significado. Y con un reparto de excepcion!!!

Maktub cuenta la historia, basada en hechos reales, de un niño afectado por el cancer a traves de un precioso cuento navideño. A veces parece que esa palabra , cancer, es algo lejano y de la que nos podemos escapar, pero en realidad todos y mas que nunca en estas fechas, todos deberiamos estar mas concienciados que nunca. Yo por mi parte he hecho mis pequeñas aportaciones, como cuando colabore con SMODA en el shooting contra el cancer de mama, y desde luego no podia dejar pasar la oportunidad de compartir con todos vosotros que el proximod dia 15 de Diciembre, Maktub se estrena en el cine Capitol (Gran Via 41) y aun mejor!  Se sortean invitaciones!! Todo el dinero recaudado se destinará a la construcción de una planta entera del Hospital Niño Jesús de Oncología para los niños enfermos de cáncer.  Si teneis unos minutos echarle un vistazo al trailer y sobre todo a la magnifica labor que la Fundacion Aladina ha hecho junto al equipo de Maktub y de Paco.

Look of the Day.140: Creases and morning coffee

The last few days have been like dreaming with my eyes open. I love being back in London for way too many reasons, one of them is my dearest friends and everything that this city has to offer (for more info check my favorite spots in London in the guide I wrote for  AbsolutModeSociety).  I have travelled "quite a few" lately.. Seen so many places, cultures, landscapes and honestly, no place is like London. :) Anyway, going back to the main thing, with this cold weather all I wanted to do is curl up in bed watch dvd's and I have been a bit annoyed that I have to wear all the time 120 denier tights, but we still get  one of those days were the sun shines and you can trot around the city with bare legs. I'm no particular fan of the so called "perfect look" as you might have seen, sporting perfectly ironed and clean cut tailored shirts, so making it a bit more me without looking like a tramp (which I still dig) I decided to stop ironing my cotton shirts for a more "casual and effortless" feeling and enjoying a crease here and there.

I remember perfectly this day. It was during New York Fashion Week, and the previous day I spent all afternoon trying on a thousand million pices at Karla Otto's office.. I didn't have a clue what to wear to the Oscar de la Renta and Theysken's Thory shows the following day. I was there with Michelle and when I tried on the Emilio Pucci top we both screamed at the very same time....OH MY LORD! That was the most beautiful, delicate piece i've ever worn... This pictures were taking after the beautiful Theysken's show by Backyard Bill for GQ USA, also the other pics are from Vogue USA and Refinery29.

 

15th Anniversary Uno de 50

I was wearing a black Theysken's Theory dress with velvet coat and handbag also from Theory. Headphones are from Adidas. All jewels and watch are from Uno de 50.

If you follow me on Twitter you are probably updated about my travels... so you should already know that last thursday I was in Barcelona (awwww I loveee that city!!!) for a very special event! Uno de 50, the spanish ready-to-wear jewellery label was celebrating their 15th birthday! And I was invited to attend and spin some records amongst Simone in company of the best people in town. There was  the beautiful Eva Gonzalez, my friend Neko, who runs the well known(and one of my favourite parties ever, Nasty Mondays), Ross, Ilduara, Oscar(from my agency), Joan, Quentin, Gabriela and Pablo(cutest couple ever) who came straight back from Boston to give their support!!! Gerard, who was taking all this wonderful pictures, and the whole team from Uno de 50. We enjoyed some yummy canapes and danced till midnight... after that we all headed to CupCake's(the little sister party of Nasty Mondays, which takes also place at Apolo). [For dj booking please contact Bookings@amlul.com]

Vogue Spain NOV 2011

This is the picture that I shot for spanish VOGUE during Madrid's VFNO last september. They asked us to choose and outfit for that night, and I went straight for this beauty from Jesus del Pozo(who recently sadly passed away) all paired with the most gorge red shoes in history! Later on I changed into a Giambattista Valli red dress. The pictures were taken by Quentin de Briey and the styling was done by the coolest stylist  in Spain (who is mother to the cutes baby girl) Sara Fernandez
